Coverage Alert & Policy Endorsements

A note from John Manning:

We are witnessing trends with Brokers being Surprised that Exclusionary Endorsements or Special Exclusionary Wording are included in their policy portfolios.  These are negatively impacting claims coverage.

It is imperative when New Policies are Bound or Renewed, the Declarations Pages and All Endorsements are carefully reviewed to make sure they are appropriate for your clients Risks.

All too often theses endorsements are included to lower premiums, but the downside they reduce coverage… So in other words, you get what you pay for.  So be careful not to be blinded by the quote, but refocus and review the coverages.

The D&D Project: Block P and Scholarship Updates

The D&D Project raised over $368 from your donations during the latest Casual Week over July 4th!

The Pinedale Block P Dinner that took place on May 29th was a great success, and Matt DeFendis was there serving parents and students at the event. Dinner was from DiCicco’s and sponsored by the D&D project.

Pictured below are the scholarship recipients from Clovis West and Washington Union High School, and our own Katie Beyerle was there at Clovis West to present the awards. The students were excited for their scholarship and advised it would be in good use.

Thank you again for the support for The D&D Project, and stay tuned for future opportunities to participate in our fundraisers and activities!

Pets Account for Nearly 400 Workers’ Comp Claims A Year in Oregon

“Slip and falls, flying tools, poor posture. The workplace can be dangerous, and now you can add pets to the risks that Oregon workers face.

Dogs and cats have accounted for more than 1,900 claims since 2014 received by SAIF, Oregon’s not-for-profit workers’ compensation insurance company. That averages out to nearly 400 pet-related worker’s comp claims each year.”
